The Charleston School of Law reported job placement rate for its fourth graduating class in May 2010. Among the 185 students from the Class of 2010, 170 reported their employment status with 92.6 percent of students who passed the bar exam and 82.9 percent of all students were employed or pursued advanced degrees within nine months of graduation. Of the Class of 2010 graduates who reported being employed, 59.7 percent were employed in private law firms; 11.6 percent as judicial law clerks; 12.4 percent in government; 10.9 percent in business; 3.9 percent in public interest law; and 0.8 percent in academic institutions.
