Famous quotes containing the words henri and/or ford:

People who have been made to suffer by certain things cannot be reminded of them without a horror which paralyses every other pleasure, even that to be found in reading a story.
    Stendhal [Marie Henri Beyle] (1783–1842)

In our rush to accomplish great deeds quickly, we trampled on sound principles of restraint and endangered the rights of individuals.
    —Gerald R. Ford (b. 1913)
