Publications

Two monographic publication series have emerged in ZEI:

• Nomos Publishing House (Baden-Baden) publishes the “Schriften des Zentrum für Europäische Integrationsforschung,” edited by ZEI Director Prof. Dr. Ludger Kühnhardt. From 1998 to 2010, 72 volumes of this series have been published. The Nomos Publishing House offers the leading publishing program on questions of European research in Germany.
• The series "ZEI Studies in European Economics and Law,“ edited by ZEI Director Prof. Dr. Jürgen von Hagen contains seven volumes from 2000 to 2004 and is published by Kluwer Academic Publishers (Amsterdam / New York), (merged with Springer Academic Publishing House in 2004). Springer Academic Publishers is world renowned in the fields of law and economics.

With two separate series of working papers ZEI has found worldwide attention in academia and public institutions:

• "ZEI Discussion Paper" with focus on issues of politics, political science and the humanities.
• "ZEI Working Paper", with focus on economic issues.

In the field of jurisprudence dealing with network industries, communications and the respective European regulation legislation, ZEI Director Prof. Dr. Christian Koenig is Managing Editor of the journal series

• "Network Economics & Law" ( "N & R") with Law and Economics Publishing House (Frankfurt / Main) and co-editor of the journal
• "Communication & Law (K & R"), also published by Law and Economics Publishing House (Frankfurt / Main).

ZEI has published and continues to publish three policy briefs:

• "ZEI SOE Monitor," which accompanied the upheavals in South Eastern Europe after the end of the Yugoslav Wars between 2001 and 2004.
• "ZEI EU-Turkey-Monitor”, which has accompanied the process of negotiation between the EU and Turkey since 2005.

"ZEI Regional Integration Observer", since 2007 the pioneering work in the continuous comparison of regional integration processes worldwide.
