Centennial (miniseries) - Rights Issues

Rights Issues

The series was originally overseen and distributed by MCA/Universal. However, because of the other corporate production entities involved (particularly with Lynn Redgrave and James Michener, as well as the executive producers), most distribution and underlying rights went outside the parameters of MCA/Universal. Television syndication rights were licensed to Turner Program Services (now Warner Bros. Television, the successor-in-interest that continues to syndicate the series today). However, Universal Studios Home Entertainment did acquire the home video rights and in 2008 released the series on DVD. There are no current plans to release it on Blu-ray or reissue it to U.S. television.

Famous quotes containing the words rights and/or issues:

When lions paint pictures men will not always be represented as conquerors. When women translate laws, constitutions, bibles and philosophies, man will not always be the declared heard of the church, the state, and the home.
Elizabeth Cady Stanton 1815–1902, U.S. women’s rights activist, author, editor. The Revolution (August 13, 1868)

Your toddler will be “good” if he feels like doing what you happen to want him to do and does not happen to feel like doing anything you would dislike. With a little cleverness you can organize life as a whole, and issues in particular, so that you both want the same thing most of the time.
    Penelope Leach (20th century)
