In Film

Cedarbrae was used in the filming of Detroit Rock City, a cult film about four teenagers in a Kiss cover band who try to see their idols in Detroit in 1978. During the filming of the movie, the large 'Cedarbrae Collegiate Institute' sign at the front of the school was replaced with 'Robert F. Famous quotes containing the word film:

If you want to tell the untold stories, if you want to give voice to the voiceless, you’ve got to find a language. Which goes for film as well as prose, for documentary as well as autobiography. Use the wrong language, and you’re dumb and blind.
    Salman Rushdie (b. 1948)

His education lay like a film of white oil on the black lake of his barbarian consciousness. For this reason, the things he said were hardly interesting at all. Only what he was.
    —D.H. (David Herbert)
