Cortland
Powell is an assistant coach at Cortland State University under head coach Steve Beville. Powell coaches alongside former Cortland standout Mike Abbott. In his first year coaching at Cortland, the red dragons made it to the Division III national championship game in Foxborough, Massachusetts, where they lost to Salisbury State University 19-13.
