Carmen Guerra - Season 2

Season 2

Guerra is one of the four Latinos let into the newly rebuilt Em City and spends most of the time following the orders of Miguel Alvarez, their default leader. He has a neutral relationship with Alvarez and spurns him to be more forceful in obtaining power in the drug trade as well as aggressive with the other inmates who challenge them. He eventually grows impatient with Alvarez's passive leadership, as Miguel sits on the sideline of a war between the Italians, led by Peter Schibetta, and the Homeboys, led by Simon Adebisi, wondering who to work with. As the Homeboys gradually dominate the Italians, Adebisi refuses to be partners with Alvarez, as the latter refused to help in the takeover. Guerra grows impatient after Adebisi disrespects Alvarez, who refuses to have the Latinos go to war against the Bikers. Raoul "El Cid" Hernandez, a legendary Latino inmate, eventually arrives and quickly takes charge, making Guerra his lieutenant over Alvarez. Guerra uses this opportunity to berate Alvarez, who gradually gets cast out of the gang for being "too white" as well as too passive. Alvarez then asks Hernandez what he has to do to get back in, and El Cid tells him to blind a new Latino CO, Eugene Rivera, who was once in a rival gang on the outside. Alvarez does as he's told, earning him Guerra's respect.

Famous quotes containing the word season:

    She, O, she is fallen
Into a pit of ink, that the wide sea
Hath drops too few to wash her clean again
And salt too little which may season give
    To her foul tainted flesh!
