History
Luft was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She began playing dulcimer and singing at the age of four. Her guitar self-studies began at age 11. She has a developed understanding of alternate tunings, numerous finger and flat-picking techniques including claw hammer banjo, and sings with an alto voice. Her writing and playing styles are influenced by Led Zeppelin and 80's pop music, as well as church and folk music.
Cara will be touring with new side musician Scott Poley (Guitar, Mandolin, Pedal & Lap Steel) from October 2010.
