Organization
The two parts of the SuppRes are the Supplementary Holding Reserve and the Supplementary Ready Reserve. The Ready Reserve is to provide a pool of individuals with current skills and who have expressed a willingness to volunteer for duty when requested. The Holding Reserve contains those with less than current skills and/or more restricted availability. The individual commands are responsible for administering their own proportion of the ready reserve, while the holding reserve is administered by National Defence Headquarters.

Famous quotes containing the word organization:
“The Red Cross in its nature, it aims and purposes, and consequently, its methods, is unlike any other organization in the country. It is an organization of physical action, of instantaneous action, at the spur of the moment; it cannot await the ordinary deliberation of organized bodies if it would be of use to suffering humanity, ... [ellipsis in original] it has by its nature a field of its own.”
—Clara Barton (18211912)
“Politics, as a practise, whatever its professions, has always been the systematic organization of hatreds.”
—Henry Brooks Adams (18381918)
“Prostitution is the most hideous of the afflictions produced by the unequal distribution of the worlds goods; this infamy stigmatizes the human species and bears witness against the social organization far more than does crime.”
—Flora Tristan (18031844)
