Camp War Eagle
Camp War Eagle is a joint effort of the Walton Family Foundation and Camp Ozark. Located on Beaver Lake near Rogers, Arkansas, Camp War Eagle serves boys and girls ages 7 to 17 from Benton, Washington, Carroll and Madison counties in northwest Arkansas. Although similar to Camp Ozark, Camp War Eagle's campers generally pay no tuition. Instead, the Walton Family Foundation pays most of the camper's fees to attend the camp. Camp War Eagle campers typically earn their place at camp through a variety of factors such as school performance and community service. Camp War Eagle began operations in the summer of 2006.The camp also has a time in the day called "Tribal Competition", when the campers are split in to two tribes, Caddo and Osage.

Famous quotes containing the words camp, war and/or eagle:
“Among the interesting thing in camp are the boys. You recollect the boy in Captain McIlraths company; we have another like unto him in Captain Woodwards. He ran away from Norwalk to Camp Dennison; went into the Fifth, then into the Guthries, and as we passed their camp, he was pleased with us, and now is a boy of the Twenty-third. He drills, plays officer, soldier, or errand boy, and is a curiosity in camp.”
—Rutherford Birchard Hayes (18221893)
“The funny part of it all is that relatively few people seem to go crazy, relatively few even a little crazy or even a little weird, relatively few, and those few because they have nothing to do that is to say they have nothing to do or they do not do anything that has anything to do with the war only with food and cold and little things like that.”
—Gertrude Stein (18741946)
“Does the Eagle know what is in the pit
Or wilt thou go ask the Mole?
Can wisdom be put in a silver rod,
Or love in a golden bowl?”
—William Blake (17571827)
