Geography
The five parishes of Calheta are:
- Calheta
- Norte Pequeno
- Ribeira Seca
- Santo Antão
- Topo - it was the first municipality established on the island of São Jorge (currently less than 500 inhabitants), pioneered by a group of Flemish settlers, captained by Willem van der Haegen.
