Famous quotes containing the words early, business and/or career:

I realized how for all of us who came of age in the late sixties and early seventies the war was a defining experience. Linda Grant (b. 1949)

Perpetual devotion to what a man calls his business is only to be sustained by neglect of many other things.
    Robert Louis Stevenson (1850–1894)

John Brown’s career for the last six weeks of his life was meteor-like, flashing through the darkness in which we live. I know of nothing so miraculous in our history.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
