School Building Committee
The School Building Committee of Burgess Elementary School was established to improve Burgess Elementary School because the school has not been rebuilt since 1972. There are two plans for the new Burgess Elementary School. One plan will cost $17.9 million. The other plan will cost at least $40.6 million. The new school is hoping to have:
- New classrooms
- More office space
- Science and computer labs
- Modern classrooms
- Special education rooms
- Sprinklers and new roof repairs
In April 2008, the town will meet to decide whether or not to approve the plan, and, if so, which one.
