  • UTA TRAX - Utah Transit Authority light rail system running nearly the entire length of Salt Lake County, beginning at the Salt Lake City Intermodal Hub in the western part of Salt Lake City proper. There are also lines east to the University of Utah, west to West Valley City, and southwest to South Jordan. Another extension heading west to the Salt Lake City International Airport is nearly complete and is scheduled to open for service 14 April 2013. There are currently 17 TRAX Stations within the limits of Salt Lake City proper, with the Airport extension adding 6 more.
  • FrontRunner - UTA commuter rail system that will, by December 2012, run the entire length of Salt Lake County, extending north through Davis County to Pleasant View on the northern edge of Weber County and south to Provo in the center of Utah County, on a route roughly paralleling Interstate 15.
  • Sugar House Streetcar - UTA operated streetcar line to be completed in late 2013 that will connect the Sugar House area of Salt Lake City with the city of South Salt Lake, as well as the UTA TRAX system.
