Buffalo Six

The Buffalo Six (known primarily as Lackawanna Six, but also the Lackawanna Cell, or Buffalo Cell) is a group of six Yemeni-American childhood friends who were convicted of providing material support to Al Qaeda in December 2003, based on the fact they had attended an Al Qaeda training camp in Afghanistan together in the Spring of 2001.

They are six naturalized American citizens as follows::

  • Mukhtar Al-Bakri,
  • Sahim Alwan,
  • Faysal Galab,
  • Shafal Mosed,
  • Yaseinn Taher
  • Yahya Goba.
