Accidents
On July 4, 2001, Bubba attempted to beat his own record, attempting to jump 22 cars at Del Mar Fair. He came up short and crashed. The crash is featured on Shockwave and on the Discovery Channel's Destroyed In Seconds. Bubba planned to attempt to beat the XR-750 record again on June 12, 2010 by jumping 22 Ford Focus cars at the Rockingham Park in Salem, New Hampshire. However that event was cancelled.

Famous quotes containing the word accidents:
“Some accidents there are in life that a little folly is necessary to help us out of.”
—François, Duc De La Rochefoucauld (16131680)
“We are the men of intrinsic value, who can strike our fortunes out of ourselves, whose worth is independent of accidents in life, or revolutions in government: we have heads to get money, and hearts to spend it.”
—George Farquhar (16781707)
“Depression moods lead, almost invariably, to accidents. But, when they occur, our mood changes again, since the accident shows we can draw the world in our wake, and that we still retain some degree of power even when our spirits are low. A series of accidents creates a positively light-hearted state, out of consideration for this strange power.”
—Jean Baudrillard (b. 1929)
