Broadland (UK Parliament Constituency)

Broadland (UK Parliament Constituency)

Broadland is a county constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election.

Following its review into parliamentary representation in Norfolk, the Boundary Commission for England created the Broadland constituency, which is the successor seat to Mid Norfolk but includes parts of North Norfolk and Norwich North. The name is taken from the local government area Broadland though its boundary does not match that of the district council nor is it contiguous with the area known as the Norfolk Broads.

Famous quotes containing the word parliament:

He felt that it would be dull times in Dublin, when they should have no usurping government to abuse, no Saxon Parliament to upbraid, no English laws to ridicule, and no Established Church to curse.
    Anthony Trollope (1815–1882)
