A Strong Professional Squad
Brittany plays unofficial internationals. BFA has a pool of around 100 players in the first three professional divisions to choose from, some of them with proven international football experience. Brittany's Stéphane Guivarc'h won the 1998 World Cup with France.
Brittany notably held Cameroon to a 1–1 draw before the 1998 World Cup finals, featuring Paul Le Guen. Six games had to be called off between 1999 and 2005 because of the then French FA administration, which contradicted its own rules. Fortunately, the head of the French FA administration changed and BFA finally recovered in order to fully resume its activities in 2008. Its latest games were played versus Togo (2–1) on 21st May 2010 and Equatorial Guinea (0–1) on 2nd June 2011.

Famous quotes containing the words strong, professional and/or squad:
“The mere fact of leaving ultimate social control in the hands of the people has not guaranteed that men will be able to conduct their lives as free men. Those societies where men know they are free are often democracies, but sometimes they have strong chiefs and kings. ... they have, however, one common characteristic: they are all alike in making certain freedoms common to all citizens, and inalienable.”
—Ruth Benedict (18871948)
“The professional must learn to be moved and touched emotionally, yet at the same time stand back objectively: Ive seen a lot of damage done by tea and sympathy.”
—Anthony Storr (b. 1920)
“Americans think of themselves collectively as a huge rescue squad on twenty-four-hour call to any spot on the globe where dispute and conflict may erupt.”
—Eldridge Cleaver (b. 1935)
