Plans
Class 315s are rumoured to be replaced after the London Olympic Games at Stratford in 2012, as by then they will nearly be life expired (around 2014).
It has been announced recently that a number of the class 315's are to be refurbished with new interiors which will allow them to meet new DDA regulation due to come into effect in 2020.
There seems to be a good future for a number of the class 315's once they have been withdrawn from service in East Anglia and that is because a proposal is that some the class 315's will be used to work services on the Cardiff Valley Lines network once electrification work is completed by 2019.
