Seating
Class 171s have mainly Standard Class seating plus either 9 First Class seats on a 2-Car or 18 on a 4-Car, all First Class seats are reclining seats.
Standard Class seating includes 5 full sized folding seats in the area by the universal toilet on the DMOCL(W) vehicle. With these seats folded there is room for wheelchair users and bikes etc. Each passenger door vestibule area also has 2 flip-down seats.
