Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (film) - Planned Sequel "Bridget Jones' Baby"

Planned Sequel "Bridget Jones' Baby"

In July 2009, the BBC reported that a third film is in the early stages of production. On 1 March 2011 it was reported that both Renée Zellweger and Colin Firth had shown interest in reprising their roles.

It was officially announced on August 11, 2011 that a third film has been greenlit by Universal Studios and Working Title.

"We are still working on the script, hence the delay to the start of production, but the film is going ahead as planned," he said.

The third instalment will see Renée Zellweger reprise her role as the hapless singleton. The Full Monty's Peter Cattaneo will direct, while Helen Fielding is co-writing the screenplay with David Nicholls.

Colin Firth is also set to return as Mark Darcy, while Grant will play suave troublemaker Daniel Cleaver – despite telling BBC News in 2009 that he had no plans to act in another film in the Jones franchise.

Her husband Joseph, being a righteous man and unwilling to expose her to public disgrace, planned to dismiss her quietly.
    Bible: New Testament, Matthew 1:18,19.

Though the Jazz Age continued it became less and less an affair of youth. The sequel was like a children’s party taken over by the elders.

A baby is God’s way of saying the world should go on.
