Bridge of Birds has an extremely large cast of characters.

  • Number Ten Ox (Lu-Yu): As an orphaned child raised by his aunt and uncle, Ox becomes a strong man. He joins Li Kao on a journey to cure the children from Ku-poison, overcoming many obstacles and defeating numerous monsters. With the help of Li, they find all the Roots of Power and eventually set the children free from the Ku-poisoning.
  • Li Kao (Master Li): A slightly flawed wise man from Peking, who joins Ox on the quest to cure the children of Ku-poisoning. After escaping many deadly encounters, he and Ox find the cure to the Ku-poisoning.
