Brian Schweitzer
Brian David Schweitzer (born September 4, 1955) is the twenty third and current Governor of Montana, serving since January 5, 2005. Schweitzer currently has one of the highest approval ratings among governors in the nation, with polls regularly showing a rating of above 60 percent. Due to term limits in Montana, he could not run for reelection in 2012. Schweitzer formerly served as chair of the Western Governors Association as well as the Democratic Governors Association. He also served as President of the Council of State Governments.
