Post-retirement
After his retirement, he has continued to work as a newsreader on Radio 4, but in a freelance capacity. He also provides formal readings for the comedy programme The News Quiz. In March 2010 he also appeared as the voice of a Shockwave hair gel (Wella product) commercial on spotify.
