Brent International School - School Crest

School Crest

The meaning of the Brent School Crest:

  • The Lion stands for bravery and courage;
  • The Laurel Leaves stand for knowledge and learning;
  • The 6 stars stand for loyalty, integrity, courtesy, sincerity, honesty, and camaraderie.

The Brent School crest was revised for the Manila and Subic campuses, but the elements remain constant. The Manila and Subic campuses each use a redrawn crest while Brent Baguio retains the original crest.

Famous quotes containing the words school and/or crest:

    The child to be concerned about is the one who is actively unhappy, [in school].... In the long run, a child’s emotional development has a far greater impact on his life than his school performance or the curriculum’s richness, so it is wise to do everything possible to change a situation in which a child is suffering excessively.
    Dorothy H. Cohen (20th century)

    What shall he have that killed the deer?
    His leather skin and horns to wear.
    Then sing him home.
    Take thou no scorn to wear the horn,
    It was a crest ere thou wast born;
    Thy father’s father wore it,
    And thy father bore it.
    The horn, the horn, the lusty horn
    Is not a thing to laugh to scorn.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
