Breed Street Shul - Early History

Early History

Congregation Talmud Torah began in Downtown Los Angeles in 1904 but moved to Boyle Heights in 1913 as large numbers of Jews settled there. Famous quotes containing the words early and/or history:

Early to rise and early to bed makes a male healthy and wealthy and dead.
    James Thurber (1894–1961)

    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
