Relocation Controversy

BCI was the Brantford's oldest school and stood as a historic landmark for approximately a century. For a considerable time, the city and the Grand Erie District School Board worked on a plan to update and renovate the deteriorating school building in its original location on Brant Avenue. Significant controversy resulted when the school board reversed its plan to rebuild BCI in its original location - there are now new plans which involve moving the school to Shellard Lane.
