Brandon Railway Station - Friends of Brandon Station

Friends of Brandon Station

In January 2006 the Friends of Brandon Station launched an initiative to look after the station, improve the appearance and facilities, promote the fast and frequent services to Norwich, Ely and Cambridge, and to seek a new tenant for the station buildings, with the ultimate goal of re-opening the station to the public. The Friends have joined both ACorP (the Association of Community Rail Partnerships) and the Adopt-a-Station scheme operated by National Express East Anglia.

Famous quotes containing the words friends, brandon and/or station:

When we enlarge upon the affection our friends have for us, this is very often not so much out of a sense of gratitude as from a desire to persuade people of our own great worth, that can deserve so much kindness.
François, Duc De La Rochefoucauld (1613–1680)

They can kill us, but they can’t eat us. That’s against the law!
Gil Doud, U.S. screenwriter, and Jesse Hibbs. Brandon (Charles Drake)

Say first, of God above, or Man below,
What can we reason, but from what we know?
Of Man what see we, but his station here,
From which to reason, or to which refer?
Thro’ worlds unnumber’d tho’ the God be known,
‘Tis ours to trace him only in our own.

    Alexander Pope (1688–1744)
