Boston Celtics Seasons

This is a list of seasons completed by the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association. It documents the team's season-by-season records, including post-season records, and also includes year-end awards won by the team's players and/or coaches.

With 17 NBA Championships, the Celtics have won the most for any NBA franchise, while the 1959-to-1966 domination of the NBA Championship, with eight straight titles, is the longest consecutive championship winning streak of any North American professional sports team to date.

The Celtics are 21–8 in the 7th game of a playoff series, and are 7-1 in Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

Famous quotes containing the words boston and/or seasons:

In Boston they ask, “How much does he know?” In New York, “How much is he worth?” In Philadelphia, “Who were his parents?”
Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (1835–1910)

I say this because there is an uneasiness in things just now. Waiting for something to be over before you are forced to notice it. The pollarded trees scarcely bucking the wind and yet it’s keen, it make you fall over. Clabbered sky. Seasons that pass with a rush.
    John Ashbery (b. 1927)
