In 1998, the album was selected as one of The Source's 100 Best Rap Albums, and the song "Freaky Tales" reached #92 on the 100 Greatest Rap Songs.
The album art was redone by another Bay emcee, Bailey, this time using a 1962 Chevrolet Impala and gold Daytons in place of the Cadillac.
In 2012, Insane Clown Posse paid tribute to "Freaky Tales", an eight minute long sex rap appearing on Born to Mack, by releasing the album Freaky Tales, which consists of over an hour of "hoe flows".
