Border Crossing Card

A Border Crossing Card (BCC) is a document that allows limited entry into the United States by visitors. The cards authorize visits to the border areas of the United States for a set amount of time. Section 104 of the United States Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (IIRIRA) serves as the legal basis for the issuance of Border Crossing Cards.

Famous quotes containing the words border, crossing and/or card:

I have, indeed, even omitted facts, which, on account of their singularity, must in the eyes of some have appeared to border on the marvelous. But in the forests of South America such extraordinary realities are to be found, that there is assuredly no need to have recourse to fiction or the least exaggeration.
    —J.G. (John Gabriel)

Nature is a setting that fits equally well a comic or a mourning piece. In good health, the air is a cordial of incredible virtue. Crossing a bare common, in snow puddles, at twilight, under a clouded sky, without having in my thoughts any occurrence of special good fortune, I have enjoyed a perfect exhilaration. I am glad to the brink of fear.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
