Boomer's Adventure in ASMIK World, known in Japan as Teke! Teke! Asmik-kun World (てけ! てけ! アスミッくん ワールド, Teke! Teke! Asumikkun Wārudo?) is a Game Boy video game from Asmik copyrighted in 1989; Asmik of America Corp. copyrighted its version in 1990. The game's direct sequel, Asmik-kun World 2, was never released outside of Japan. The game is an example of the "trap-em-up" genre, which also includes games like Heiankyo Alien (1979), Space Panic (1980), and Lode Runner (1983).
This video game stars Boomer (Asmik-kun in the Japanese version), a pink dinosaur, coursing through maze-like levels. Boomer traps enemies by digging holes and letting the enemy fall in them. Boomer can also dig out items and keys needed to complete the levels. Passwords are revealed before and after every boss level. On the top floor is the ultimate boss. Defeat him in order to beat the game.
Famous quotes containing the words adventure and/or world:
“Wilson adventured for the whole of the human race. Not as a servant, but as a champion. So pure was this motive, so unflecked with anything that his worst enemies could find, except the mildest and most excusable, a personal vanity, practically the minimum to be human, that in a sense his adventure is that of humanity itself. In Wilson, the whole of mankind breaks camp, sets out from home and wrestles with the universe and its gods.”
—William Bolitho (18901930)
“What is he buzzing in my ears?
Now that I come to die,
Do I view the world as a vale of tears?
Ah, reverend sir, not I!”
—Robert Browning (18121889)
