Blue (queue Management Algorithm)
Blue is an Active Queue Management algorithm. Like RED, it operates by randomly dropping or ECN-marking packets in a router's queue before it overflows. Unlike RED, however, it requires little or no tuning on the part of the network administrator.

Famous quotes containing the words blue and/or management:
“So here they are, the dog-faced soldiers, the regulars, the fifty-cents-a-day professionals riding the outposts of the nation, from Fort Reno to Fort Apache, from Sheridan to Stark. They were all the same. Men in dirty-shirt blue and only a cold page in the history books to mark their passing. But wherever they rode and whatever they fought for, that place became the United States.”
—Frank S. Nugent (19081965)
“This we take it is the grand characteristic of our age. By our skill in Mechanism, it has come to pass, that in the management of external things we excel all other ages; while in whatever respects the pure moral nature, in true dignity of soul and character, we are perhaps inferior to most civilised ages.”
—Thomas Carlyle (17951881)
