Blake Masters

Blake Masters is an American writer, director, and producer of films and television series. He is the creator of the Showtime television series Brotherhood, and developer of Law & Order: LA.

Masters grew up in New England. Before creating Brotherhood, Masters made a living selling screenplays to studios. However, he never was able to get an original project produced. Brotherhood was initially conceived as a feature film; after some input, Masters decided to adapt it into a television series.

Famous quotes containing the words blake and/or masters:

    Sound the Flute!
    Now it’s mute.
    Birds delight
    Day and Night;
    —William Blake (1757–1827)

    There is a great stir about colored men getting their rights, but not a word about colored women, and if colored men get their rights, and not colored women theirs, you see the colored men will be masters over the women, and it will be just as bad as it was before. So I’m for keeping the thing going while things are stirring; because if we wait till it is still, it will take a great while to get it going again.
