Bizzy Bone - Solo Career

Solo Career

Bizzy Bone started his solo career in 1998. He is best known for his style of combining rapid fire raps and double harmony choruses, with a soft-spoken and high-pitched delivery. His solo debut, Heaven'z Movie, was critically acclaimed and certified Platinum by the RIAA.

The Gift, released on April 7, 2001, peaked at #2 on the US Billboard Independent Albums chart. Many of the songs on the album dealt with his personal life and childhood.

In 2004, Bizzy released Alpha and Omega which showed a change in his musical and lyrical content. Fans responded positively to the album. Bizzy followed up with the limited-edition internet album The Beginning And The End featuring many 7th Sign (Bizzy's own label) members.

Famous quotes containing the words solo and/or career:

All mothers need instruction, nurturing, and an understanding mentor after the birth of a baby, but in this age of fast foods, fast tracks, and fast lanes, it doesn’t always happen. While we live in a society that provides recognition for just about every life event—from baptisms to bar mitzvahs, from wedding vows to funeral rites—the entry into parenting seems to be a solo flight, with nothing and no one to mark formally the new mom’s entry into motherhood.
    Sally Placksin (20th century)

A black boxer’s career is the perfect metaphor for the career of a black male. Every day is like being in the gym, sparring with impersonal opponents as one faces the rudeness and hostility that a black male must confront in the United States, where he is the object of both fear and fascination.
    Ishmael Reed (b. 1938)
