Bismarck Henning High School - School Song

School Song

The official school song of BHHS is "The Bismarck-Henning Fight Song" which is played to the tune of the Notre Dame Victory March. It is currently played by the band at every football game, Basketball game, and every pep rally. The cheerleaders and Devillettes also perform during the playing of the song. The Song has become a necessary tradition, and no matter when it is played, the fans always show support.

Cheer, cheer, for old Bismarck High Sing out he praises, shouting her name Send the following cheer on high Raise up the rafters to the sky Although the odds be great or small Old Bismarck High will win over all While her loyal sons are marching Onward to victory, Rah! Rah!Rah!

Famous quotes containing the words school and/or song:

    By school age, many boys experience pressure to reveal inner feelings as humiliating. They think their mothers are saying to them, “You must be hiding something shameful.” And shucking clams is a snap compared to prying secrets out of a boy who’s decided to “clam up.”
    Ron Taffel (20th century)

    The city sleeps and the country sleeps,
    The living sleep for their time, the dead sleep for their time,
    The old husband sleeps by his wife and the young husband sleeps by his wife;
    And these tend inward to me, and I tend outward to them,
    And such as it is to be of these more or less I am,
    And of these one and all I weave the song of myself.
    Walt Whitman (1819–1892)
