Birmingham Edgbaston (UK Parliament Constituency) - Boundaries

Boundaries

Situated to the south west of Birmingham city centre, this is a neat and mostly middle-class constituency, with parks, Warwickshire's cricket ground and two grammar schools. It was a safe Conservative seat for decades, but some areas have pockets of considerable deprivation, helping Labour hold the seat since 1997. It contains the University of Birmingham's main campus, and most of the student halls.

Famous quotes containing the word boundaries:

We love to overlook the boundaries which we do not wish to pass.
    Samuel Johnson (1709–1784)

Women’s art, though created in solitude, wells up out of community. There is, clearly, both enormous hunger for the work thus being diffused, and an explosion of creative energy, bursting through the coercive choicelessness of the system on whose boundaries we are working.
    Adrienne Rich (b. 1929)

Ideas are not thoughts; the thought respects the boundaries that the idea ignores thereby failing to realize itself.
    Franz Grillparzer (1791–1872)
