Bill Werbeniuk
William Alexander "Bill" Werbeniuk ( /ˌwərbɛˈnɪk/; 14 January 1947 – 20 January 2003) was a Canadian professional snooker and pool player. Recognisable for his girth, he was nicknamed "Big Bill". Werbeniuk pioneered the style of safety shot in which a red ball is hit powerfully, with the cue ball hit low enough to screw all the way back into baulk.
