As of 2010, Champlin resides in Nashville, Tennessee. Champlin has been married since 1982 to his second wife, singer/songwriter Tamara Champlin. The couple's only child, Will, graduated from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts and is pursuing a career as a singer and songwriter. Champlin is also the father of two other children, born prior to his second marriage.
