Bilfinger SE is a Deutsche Börse MDAX index traded, international construction and services company that operates in real estate, infrastructure and industrial services. The services offered range from consulting, development, planning, financing and turnkey construction through to maintenance and operation. Bilfinger holds the eighth place in the European ranking of construction companies.
Bilfinger, as a result of numerous acquisitions and disposals, is no longer a traditional construction company but instead a provider of services for industrial plants, power plants and real estate. Thus, in the financial year 2010, around 80 percent of the revenue came from services and the remaining 20 percent from construction activities.
