Bifurcation in Arbitration

When there are issues that involve great detail thus complicated, bifurcation is used to reach a tentative agreement on all other issues while reserving some point to be decided at a later date. The American Arbitration Association (AAA) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) international rules allow for bifurcation while the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) rules do not address the issue, nor does the arbitration rules of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).
