Bible Believer

The term "Bible believer" is a phrase used by a small group of independent, fundamental Baptists to designate their absolute belief in the innerancy and perfection of "ONE" bible. This bible is the Authorized Version of 1611, better known as the King James Version. The name "Bible believer" itself connotes that it is singular, and not plural, "Bibles". The term was originally coined to differentiate one groups belief in the "Final Authority" of the Word of God, over any school, theological position, new or old manuscript or man.

Famous quotes containing the word believer:

Perhaps the fact that I am not a Radical or a believer in the all powerful ballot for women to right her wrongs and that I do not scorn womanly duties, but claim it as a privilege to clean up and sort of supervise the room and sew things, etc., is winning me stronger allies than anything else.
