Honours
On 6 February 2010, the degree of Honorary Doctorate was conferred on President Jagdeo by the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University in Moscow. He also received Honorary Doctorates from D. Y. Patil University and TERI University in India.
President Jagdeo was awarded the Pushkin Medal by the Government of Russia, and the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award by the Government of India.
