Overlockers
BERNINA overlockers allow users to sew, cut and neaten in a single operation. The patented BERNINA MTC (Micro Thread Control) System ensures the creation of professional-looking overlock, chainstitch or coverstitch seams, indistinguishable from industrially produced ones, in all materials. With the overlock stitch, the threads on the cut edge of the seam allowance are entwined with one another. This stitch allows the sewing of seams and neatening of seam allowances at the same time. The overlock stitch simultaneously neatens the fabric edges with the actual seam. It can also be used for neatening only. The coverstitch can be recognized by its double stitch on the top side of the fabric and its perfectly neatened underside. The following are BERNINA overlocker models:
