Lines
In the start, the trams did not have line numbers. Instead, there were different colours on the front light. The application of line numbers started back in 1923, which is why the line between Sukkerhusbryggen and Bradbenken never had any line numbers.

Famous quotes containing the word lines:
“It is the Late city that first defies the land, contradicts Nature in the lines of its silhouette, denies all Nature. It wants to be something different from and higher than Nature. These high-pitched gables, these Baroque cupolas, spires, and pinnacles, neither are, nor desire to be, related with anything in Nature. And then begins the gigantic megalopolis, the city-as-world, which suffers nothing beside itself and sets about annihilating the country picture.”
—Oswald Spengler (18801936)
“Called as partners in Christs service,
Called to ministries of grace,
We respond with deep commitment
Fresh new lines of faith to trace.
May we learn the art of sharing,
Side by side and friend with friend,
Equal partners in our caring
To fulfill Gods chosen end.”
—Jane Parker Huber (b. 1926)
“When the rose reigns, and locks with ointments shine,
Let rigid Cato read these lines of mine.”
—Robert Herrick (15911674)
