Later Years

It is common to denote 742 or 743 as the 'end' of the Great Berber Revolt, after the failure of the Berber armies to seize Kairouan or Córdoba. Later, in 789, the Idrisid dynasty, considered as the founder dynasty of the modern Moroccan state, was established with Berber support.

Famous quotes containing the word years:

I see the callus on his sole,
    The disappearing last of him
And of his race starvation slim,
    Oh, years ago—ten thousand years.
    Robert Frost (1874–1963)

Three years ago, also, when the Sims tragedy was acted, I said to myself, There is such an officer, if not such a man, as the Governor of Massachusetts,—what has he been about the last fortnight? Has he had as much as he could do to keep on the fence during this moral earthquake?... He could at least have resigned himself into fame.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
