Athletics
Cardozo also has a large number of sports teams, which are:
- Boys: Track, Baseball, Football, Basketball, Cross country, Fencing, Golf, Handball, Lacrosse, Soccer, Tennis, and Volleyball.
- Girls: Track, Basketball, Cross country, Fencing, Golf, Gymnastics, Handball, Lacrosse, Softball, Swimming, Soccer, Tennis, and Volleyball.
- Co-ed: Bowling and Wrestling.
Cardozo sports teams often place at or near the top of New York City competitions. Both the boys and girls volleyball teams won PSAL city championships in 2010. The Boys Lacrosse won the PSAL city Championship in 2005. Graduating seniors Brett Daniels and Branden Quintana won the All-American and Academic All-American Award respectively. John Hattenrath and Mitchell Gootnick shared CO-MVP of the PSAL honors.
