• In July 2007, for the 12th Edition of the Europe Theatre Prize, "a special mention" was "awarded, proposed by Václav Havel, Harold Pinter and Tom Stoppard, to Belarus Free Theatre for their opposition against the oppression of Belarusian Government."
• The Belarus Free Theatre was short-listed for the 2008 inaugural Freedom to Create Prize, which is given for "finding light in darkness and courage in truth".
• The French Republic Award in Defence of Human Rights 2007
