Aftermath of The Crash
Red Cross volunteers and emergency personnel, including what would become the first forensic investigation team in the United States, recovered bodies and wreckage, as well as put out three forest fires started by the crash. The Redwood City Armory was used by the sheriff's department as a makeshift morgue.
