Battlefield 2: Modern Combat received mostly positive reviews and featured an award winning multiplayer mode. The hotswap feature was criticized for some glitches. Game Rankings has Battlefield 2: Modern Combat as 81% for PS2, 80% for the Xbox and 78% for the Xbox 360. X-Play gave both the Xbox and PS2 versions a 3/5.
